Zanzibar Outreach Program is a charitable organisation which was founded in Zanzibar in 2006 by a group of Zanzibaris wanting to help provide community services for their fellow islanders in Unguja and Pemba. Today we are one of the most respected Non Governmental Organisation on the island due to our ongoing and lasting commitment to that cause. ZOP, which relies on private local donations and collaborations with other NGO’s both in Tanzania and overseas. Volunteer From Zanzibar
As a volunteer to ZOP I got to meet wonderful people through different programs. I had an opportunity to visit villages that I would never know they exist. Taking part in these programs taught me that when you give back and help the community, you benefit more as we are obliged to help the needy. It’s a very rewarding experience. Participated in Designing ZOP Website, Mobile Clinics, Community Water Supply Projects and Elderly Outreach Camps.

Volunteer From Norway
When I arrived at Mnazi Mmoja for my first meeting with Dr.Naufal I didn’t know what kind of assignment he had in mind for me during my time as ZOP -volunteer. But he was clear about what he wanted me to do and introduced me to several other ZOP volunteers. They were very kind and helpfull. During my time on Zanzibar I got the chance to be part of a ZOP Mobile Clinic Camp in Fujoni. This day showed me that the work ZOP does is very important and that we should be thankfull that there are volunteers who work so hard to help people in need.

Voluntter from The Geneva School Of Diplomacy
The ZOP makes mobile clinic to Tumbatu a few times during the year and brings with them a team of doctors that includes physicians, dentists, ophthalmologists and gynecologists. I saw a never-ending line under the burning sun, and doctors paying qualitative attention to each patient. All of them were doing this absolutely for free such as providing check-ups and medicines. They not just paid attention, they spread kindness from deep within their heart.
